changi airport t3

so ... i was at the airport the other day and just decided to check out the new changi airport terminal 3. apparently they (the singapore government) spent a bomb constructing this place so i decided to check out what marvels of modern architecture lay behind the S$1,750,000,000.00 price tag.

well there's an indoor garden, water features and stuff but the same retarded viewing gallery construction is implemented in this multi billion dollar complex. there's a big glass viewing area but some genius architect decided it was better to cover the panels of glass with ugly opaque sun shades. you can't even see the planes taking off! the shades cover about 75% of the viewing area. the only area without sun shades are in the passenger's lounge. way to go. i dont know about you but i think the main idea of a viewing terminal is so that people can see planes landing and taking off. so much for singaporean design. :-/

on the good side, the architecture had a modern feel about it, very glassy and airy. and the entire complex smells good (ie, no strange smells). everything was asheen and polished. the whole area was nicely lit. all in all, good job, except for the viewing gallery thing. (which also happens in terminal 2) ... enjoy the pictures ... =)
